About Rochelle

Hi! I’m Rochelle, an award-winning technologist with nearly two decades of experience in building strategic, results-driven digital solutions for nonprofits, government, and small businesses.

Over the years, I’ve worn many hats including being a successful entrepreneur – running my own web development agency, a small business blogger, and a social justice advocate. My expertise lies in digital strategy, business intelligence, and data analytics, with a focus on fintech, education, health & wellness, and housing.

As a technologist, I’m currently expanding my career into digital business transformation, business intelligence, and data analytics to make an even broader impact. I help organizations make data-informed decisions by uncovering insights, streamlining workflows, and implementing technology that drives efficiency and growth.

My career began in web development, where I built websites and applications using HTML, CSS, JavaScript (Angular, React, Node), jQuery, AJAX, PHP, WordPress, MariaDB/MySQL, and Python/Django. As a WordPress Developer, I specialize in creating highly customized websites through the strategic use of custom plugins, themes, and application integrations.

My collaborative experience helps translate data into clear, prioritized recommendations for product owners, designers, strategists, stakeholders, and leadership. I’ve developed skills with facilitating communication between designers and developers and documenting architecture to ensure clarity and collaboration.

I hold a Bachelor of Science in Computer Studies with a minor in Business Administration from the University of Maryland.

Beyond my professional work, I’m passionate about championing diversity in tech and supporting initiatives that expand opportunities for underrepresented communities. As a creative with a passion for environmental responsibility, I enjoy spending time upcycling and furniture refurbishment projects.
