Hi! I’m Rochelle, an award-winning technologist with nearly two decades of experience in building strategic, results-driven digital solutions for nonprofits, government agencies, and small businesses.
Over the years, I’ve worn many hats including being a successful entrepreneur – running my own web development agency, a small business blogger, a social justice advocate, and a wealth technologist. My expertise lies in digital strategy, business intelligence, and data analytics, with a focus on fintech, education, health & wellness, and housing.
My career began in Web Development, where I built websites and applications using HTML, CSS, JavaScript (Angular, React, Node), jQuery, AJAX, PHP, WordPress, MariaDB/MySQL, and Python/Django. I’ve developed websites using open source content management systems including several migrations from Drupal to WordPress with custom plugins, themes, and api integrations while improving accessibility using WCAG and Section 508.
As an experienced Web Developer, I transitioned my skills into data analytics, focused on developing data visualization tools and solutions to extract insights from complex datasets. Skilled in Python, SQL, and dashboard tools, I translate analytical knowledge into actionable business intelligence. I help organizations make data-informed decisions by uncovering insights, streamlining workflows, and implementing technology that drives efficiency and growth.
I hold a Bachelor of Science in Computer Studies with a minor in Business Administration from the University of Maryland.
Beyond my professional work, I’m passionate about championing diversity in tech and supporting initiatives that expand opportunities for underrepresented communities. As a creative with a passion for environmental responsibility, I enjoy spending time upcycling and furniture refurbishment projects.
